My July Counterfeit Kit for the Challenge

Hello :) I guess if I'm going to play along with this month's Counterfeit Kit Challenge I had better get it put together and posted. My goal this month was Christmas in July, but I also want to do some other layouts too besides Christmas so this kit is perfect for those layouts :)

Here is Geometric Splatter

Our inspiration came from the Walden Pond kit from August 2016 at Cocoa Daisy.

Very bright colors and very summer colors too plus lots of shapes.
I grabbed most of my 12 X 12 papers from my 100 pattern paper pile (trying to whittling through that). I also went to my 6X6 paper pads and my 4X6 paper pads for papers that resembled some of the inspirational kit. Lots of scraps and the cardstock and word stickers is CTMH that are in the same colors as the kit.
I just grabbed my buttons container, some thread that I want to get used, my container of miscellaneous pieces that get thrown in occasionally, some glitter stickers in the same color and some tags I had out from last month's kit.
My alphas & words: Some vellum or close to vellum, a sticker sheet with words and letters, 2 more fun alphas and Tim Holtz  Chit Chat stickers
 Washi tape and ribbon
and I also added a pack of project life cards as I have lots and lots of these and should start using them up :) Clearance sales always draws me into these things :)
Thanks for stopping by today to see what I'm up too and it would be cool of you wanted to join in and play along :)

Wander for a Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) Worked the night shift last night a mandatory thing so a short weekend for me :) We have a new challenge for you this week over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenges, Lauren has asked us to Use a BIG title to document our BIG adventure.
This is a glittery big title for a big adventure around our Historic Downtown, a fun adventure for me down memory lane where I grew up and to learn more about my home town. I'll be on another walking tour next week too done by our local library so another fun adventure.
I used a fun title from Shimelle's line Go Now Go. This was created from LOAD517 Day 23:
Prompt:
Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – 1986
What would you do with a whole day off?
This is what I did:
I don't get to many Saturdays off so I took advantage of the day and did somethings in the morning with Dave, but in the afternoon I went off on my own for awhile. A walking tour of out local Downtown. We have a rich history in Williamsport, PA and it was cool to take a day off and check out the walking tour of the old buildings that are Downtown. Growing up here I certainly appreciate seeing glimpses of my childhood with in the buildings that in itself could tell a story of a memory from the buildings. Old buildings and some new fixtures with in Downtown Williamsport made the tour very interesting. A lot more layouts from this tour to come as I scrap it.
My tour guide, a self guided tour through Historic Downtown Williamsport, PA
 My journaling
This was cool to find along the way and a story to tell in another layout. The building across the street had that fun mural on it too. There is alot more to this adventure to come lots of photos to scrap.
I look forward to seeing what you create for this fun challenge over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge blog.

GrandPa's Helpers for a Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style Sketch Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to the 2nd post of the day today :) This is for Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style and the sketch we are working with this week is:
Image may contain: text
The card I created with this sketch is:
Since adding it to the layout I modified it just a bit adding thread and a gold glitter heart to replace one of the round stickers.
A photo op with Grandpa and the grandkids :) As they each got their pumpkin done I got a picture of them with Dave. A fun family layout. This is one of a series of layouts I've done for the pictures of that day. I've got 2 more to do to finish them off :) The layouts for this series of photos I've been working with my counterfeit kit: Falltoberfest.
Pap with Astacia (the oldest and was a Junior in this photo)
Avery with Pap OMgosh he was just turning 13 almost as tall as Pap who is 6'4". I think he may get as tall as his Dad who is 6'7".
Pap with the youngest of the group AJ (Albert Jr.) See the modifications with the thread and the glittery heart. That circle sticker just wasn't working for me.
Elias with Pap and Isabelle with Pap. Love that they all got a picture with Dave, Grandpa's Helpers :)
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation with this fun sketch over at Sketches in Thyme Project Life Style.

Good Eats for a Sketch N Scrap challenge

Good morning and welcome to the mid-month sketch layout challenge over at Sketch ~N~ Scrap :) Today we have a really interesting sketch that could go many different ways depending on how you scrap :)
No automatic alt text available.
This is the layout I created with this fun sketch:
A night out with the hubby going to Sam's Club and hitting the Mall for the JC Penney closing sale we thought we would go down on Third Street and eat at the Mexican Restaurant, but when I seen this restaurant I said lets try this tonight :) We haven't ate there before, why? I have no idea but we know we'll be going back sometime the food was great :) I used 3 pieces of paper from my 100 Pattern Paper Pile.
I used one of the circles for my journaling
I used lots of memorbilia from the resturant, grabbing a business card, the fortune cookie package I got and Dave and I's fortune. With being a scrapper I thought mine was very fitting and Dave had a fun one too.  I hope to see your creation linked up over at Sketch N Scrap, there is a really cool prize this month up for grabs :)
Another announcement is that we are going to have more crops and fun things happening over at the Sketch N Scrap Facebook Events page. Sketch N Scrap's Sizzlin' Summer Crop starts this Saturday, July 15th over on our Facebook Events page and you have until August 2nd to join in the fun! Joy Card for a Funday Friday Challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) It's been a bit crazy this week with work, we've had the line I work on got modified and we are getting use to the pace and the issues that fall into that :) But chugging right along I did get a chance to get crafty a bit this week and this is one of the things I created. A Christmas Card for this week's Anything Goes challenge over at Jo's Scrap Shack for Funday Friday. Our sponsors this week is Bugaboo and Little Blue Button Stamps. I created this card using the BUGSPLJANGEL peace love joy angel digital stamp
Love this overall stamp for the front of the card. Using my markers and some Gold and Silver wink of stella pens to give it some glitter :)
 Another angle of the card
The inside of the card :) Ready to go in the mail in December.

Nothern Flicker-UYS challenge

Good Morning and welcome :) This week's challenge over at Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog is All Creatures Great and Small - Create a project with an animal on it...it could be the photo, the DP that you use, or some sort of embellishment. I have created alot of Bird layouts since I love Bird Watching and this is one I made during LOAD:
 From LOAD517 Day 3:
Prompt:
The Jazz Singer (talkies) – 1927
All the words! Tell a big story with lots of words in the journaling OR tell the story of a sound or quote you often hear.
I used alot of words in a variety of ways on my layout to tell the story.
I had used my April counterfeit kit: Spring Garden for this layout :) I think I found the inspiration for this layout on pinterest. Grabbing a piece of Cardstock (don't use often enough anymore) from my stash. I had fun creating the layout in a grid format with pictures and cutapart cards.
My journaling:
Thank you for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your creation of All Creatures Great and Small over at Use Your Stuff Blog

July 4 2017 Lasting Memories Scrapbook Challenge

Good Morning and welcome to a new challenge week over at Lasting Memories. Our theme for July is - Summer Adventures - and for this week's challenge, Natalie is challenging us to scrap our 4th Of July adventures!

LM #352 - Scrap that 4th of July adventure!

We want you to show us your 4th of July adventure! If you didn't have an adventurous American holiday or are not American, show some red, white, and blue. or show some sparkle in your layout.
This is just a bit of this 4th of July:
I got to use a fun project life card that I found online a long time ago on my layout, I try to use this same card for a facebook post each year. I make sure to get a photo of the flag and a photo of myself in front of the flag. This year Buddy found some shade under the flag so a nice photo op for his picture.
I used the current sketch from Let's Get Sketchy for my layout inspiration:
from their mood board I used the flag part of the board for my inspiration for this layout.
This is my journaling for the layout, handwritten which is a normal for me on a layout made for an easy challenge entry over at Challenge YOUrself. for challenge #43.
Had fun adding some twine to the layout, the number for the year and the red, white and blue matches the Tic Tac Toe challenge using the top row over at Scrap Our Stash challenge blog
Our Buddy enjoying a bit of the shade under the flag. Love using the red, white, blue ribbon on the layout and the little cluster as in the sketch. I've got a few more photos from the 4th to scrap yet this month.
Thanks for stopping by today and I look forward to seeing your layout to this fun challenge linked up over at Lasting Memories Scrapbook challenge.
